Cimex creates e-learning programme for steel giant's international audience
ArcelorMittal is the world’s leading steel company with operations in more than 60 countries. The company believes that my incorporating social, ethical and environmental considerations into sourcing decisions, it can positively contribute to its goal of producing safe and sustainable steel. Recognising that its substantial supply chain footprint provides a unique opportunity for promoting sustainable business practices, ArcelorMittal developed a Responsible Sourcing Programme, which incorporates Health and Safety, Human Rights, Ethical and Environmental principles into the company’s procurement approach. Having developed the content for the programme, ArcelorMittal needed support to develop an e-learning resource which could be delivered to its entire procurement staff around the world.
ArcelorMittal commissioned Cimex to develop an e-learning version of its Responsible Sourcing Programme, made available to employees from the end of 2011. Based upon the core learning material provided by ArcelorMittal, Cimex has designed a 30-minute learning module which is suitable for delivery to an international audience. The interactive course includes relevant and engaging case studies which help to being the learning content to life.
In addition to the e-learning course, Cimex is also helping ArcelorMittal with the course deployment by developing a bespoke registration and tracking tool.
